  • trying to purchase a garage that is part of a muti garage complex?

    Hi All,

    I would appreciate anyones thoughts.

looking to purchase a garrage from a nieghbouring property. as they have a 4 car garrage complex at the front of their house, they appear open to the idea.

wondering how this would work, would you need a surveyor to draw a plan and then have this added to your title? or are there any other ways to deal with this?

    thanks

    Phillip

if it doesn't already have its own title

and it sounds like it doesn't

it is theoretically possible but so much effort 6 money involved that it is rarely done

ie you'd need all of the neighbors to agree to shrink their cross-lease?, pay them compensation for that, and pay all legals

but by all means check with someone who knows
    have you defeated them?
    your demons

        Thanks Eri and Davo36,

sorry to clarify it it is a freehold house that has 4 single garages at the front as one structure with partitioned walls between.

Long term lease might be cheaper and could be paid up front.
