  • Republicans don't want Trump - they'll find a way to impeach him or force him to resign - Pence is their man says man who rightly predicted Trump's victory

I see Women are planning a huge (million +) march on Washington day after Trump takes office.

    • soooo, the Trumpster isn't actually elected yet.
And he won't be till next month.
in fact he may not ever be.
      Strange?
Not as strange as the US Electoral system.
See link below for a nice youtube video explaining it simply.

      • the australian govenor general had loads more right

to reject the people's choice, goff whitlam, as pm

        he did

and single-handedly destroyed the governor general's power in australia, in the eyes of australians

rejecting the people's choice in a democracy is very, very damaging

which is why teresa may has promised brits a brexit than 49% don't want

        rejecting trump as president

wouldn't work out well long term

Those women are better off taking a civics lesson and start planning for regaining the Senate in 2018.

A nice take from Samantha Bee (raving lefty feminist on Duke) - all white people should take the blame for the 58% of them who voted for Trump, just as ('America') expects all Muslims to take the blame for the .006625% (source) of them that are terrorists.

Trump will be president. It would destroy the integrity of the US democratic system to change the rules after the game's been called. And despite their corruption, US politicians do respect their system that has survived through much worse than Trump. That is why Obama invited him to the white house and all the ex presidents called to congratulate him despite denouncing him before the election. There is a process and they follow it, that is why western judicial and political systems produce stable societies.

            • An exciting era begins. So far he has engaged some of the best people in America and targeted the most obvious stupidity that needs fixing. And he's only just been sworn in :-).

              • On His First Day in Office, Trump Raises Taxes on Middle-Class Homebuyers

For a mortgage worth $200,000, this adds $500 to a homebuyer’s annual costs.
These insurance fees are effectively a tax on middle-class homeownership. By reversing the cut, which was scheduled to go into effect on January 27, one week from today, Trump will be taking more money from FHA homebuyers to keep in government coffers.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development reversed a scheduled 0.25 percent cut in mortgage insurance premiums issued by the Federal Housing Administration.

It's pretty scary. I'd be surprised if he doesn't lead the USA into further military conflict. And it will be interesting to see if the USA veers more toward being a religious state. They've always valued secular government (at least superficially) but there's a really strong, very right wing Christian element to his congress.

                          • Seems like he even 'misrepresented' (i.e. lied about) the weather.

Trump also misrepresented what happened to the weather during his swearing in. He said he felt a few drops of rain as he started delivering his address, but then, "God looked down and, and he said we're not going to let it rain on your speech.. . .The truth is it stopped immediately."

Light rain continued to fall through the first few minutes of the speech - and VIP's at the dais took out ponchos, including former president George W. Bush - and then quit. Trump said there was a downpour right after he finished, which did not occur.
