    Ha!
    What did you expect?

Now he's trying to write his own job description.
At least he hasn't got the excuse that "it's not my job".

The Govt have said to him,, 'Look, we can officially make it part of your job if you want".

    He's effectively...

It seems to me, that the RESERVE BANK staff are rather keen on lowering interest rates, no matter what.

(They don't really understand why Roger Douglas' inflation targeting worked).
(I bet Roger Douglas still doesn't understand why it worked, he just got lucky). ha!
    And I bet...

Yup, hippies never really went away after the summer of love, they just mutated into dust hippies.

    kidding,

I really love entrepreneurship, and those two are a great example.
Here's a bit more about their adventures. See link below.
PS, you wouldn't try going into...

They aren't real aliens, just some kids that got lucky with a balloon toy.
It just happened to be a big US summer hit.

That's the old KIM DOT COM house.
Had a tour of it a while back.

Before that it belonged to the CRISCO people ..I think.. not sure.

John Campbell has hit the nail on the head.

Young people doing the right thing, and the goal posts are being shifted further and further away from them.
    It's a betrayal.
A terrible thing, to steal someone's future.

Meanwhile The Reserve Bank staff watch and smugly...

No, I bet my contempt goes much, much, further than yours.

At least he will be of some little use.

Yup, your understanding of high finance is right on the money.

A very unusual interest, for a boy from the hood...

    But

With no understanding of high finance, you still would have done just fine.

You served a low decile market, that many others couldn't,...

    Yes, you're totally correct.
And its true that, the chaps and chapesses working the RESERVE BANK do follow the Basel example, even though they are not part of the accord.

But, you didn't answer the question.

    The most important question.

    What makes you think...

I think he will do more than that.
He may not simply want to take you down a notch.
He may be worried that gullible people will read this forum and make unwise financial decisions based on half truths and selective figures.
Possibly, to him, there's a imbalance of justice,...

I did a quick search - to gauge his experience and connections.

He's running the NZ ISRAEL INSTITUTE OF NZ at the moment.
Was CEO of the PROPERTY INVESTORS INSTITUTE.
He was even a failed NATIONAL PARTY CANDIDATE.
And a long term CITY COUNCIL member.

    Does...

It's better that you locked in at a higher rate, and spent a little extra, than not locking in, and failing to meet a commitment.
I for one really enjoy and appreciate the job Perry does to keep it real.
If the price for that service is his enjoyment from sticking it to people,...

  • Yes, so true.

Even if it's not gold or silver, a $200 dollar base metal coin, issued by the treasury, would still work.
You could buy groceries with a few coins, and pay your taxes too.

Even actual Silver (one ounce) coins would work, they are the right size and valu...

  • Sure there is a place for digital transactions,
    however,

The point of large denomination coins, for everyday transactions, is to cut out the middle men.
Less middle men, less ticket clipping.
    Less room for fraud....

    That really made me think.

    Is everything for sale?

John Key and Judith Collins seem to be going places I wouldn't, - by socializing with ex brothel runners.

For me., at lest, won't do business with people involved in promoting prostitution.

  • In looking at A WORLD WITH NO RESERVE BANK ,
It's important to remember, that, originally, there was another way to do everyday business.

    Coins.
Coins from Britain were in free circulation.
Coins had real value back then, compared to the these commercial paper notes....

  • Once, there was no Reserve Bank of New Zealand. What?

The Reserve Bank is getting top billing in the media these days.
Possibly the group of people with the most power over your future security and wealth, but little is commonly known about them.

    Q1.
What did we do before they existed?

    A.
    In 1840, there was no...

I'm not sure I go for your epic cause of events, but I do wonder what is really going on behind close doors at the reserve bank at the moment.
If you take away the international conspiracy side of things, something is still up.
They are just not telling us something.

  • People always tell you what not to do.
It's better to set an example of what to do.

Here's is the sort of speed and behavior that can be expected from an institution with so much power over the future.

Remember, every week they sit on their hands, thousands of dollars...
