    Invercargillians Ahoy

Any PT forumites lurk in the wild south?
Like in Invercargill? Anyone fancy an
    informal natter over coffee/lunch/what-
ever on Sun 13th or Mon 14th July?
I should be down that way, then, so my
    lady can visit her rellies.

No big deal - just an opportunistic idea
    for a put-a-face-to-name get-together.

Reply in this thread or send me a PM
with some contact details - either way.

    Hi Perry,

I hear you have one interested member so far - hopefully more will jump on board too very soon.

    Cheers,

      T'was a cosy get-together at a cafe in
Esk Street, where AndrewK, Leapy and
Perry chewed over a slew of stats that
      were available on Southland/Invercargill.

We also talked about individual strategies
and tactics and how rents in Tim's Town
were increasing, as commuting costs made
people from Winton, Riverton, et al, head
      into town.

I think it was Leapy who said the average
      rent for a 3 b/r was circa $212 for May 2008
and the price to buy in reasonable areas
was in the $200k and down, bracket. Rate
increase is 5.71% and lots of dairy and
      related infrastructure development meant
that growth prospects were looking good.

A great place to buy, it seems. Go south
      young PI!
