    Alternative to Property Educating Companies?

    Hi there,

I am not a fan of those so called property education companies which charge you an arm and a leg (10K and above!). But are you aware of anyone who is willing offer personalised property mentoring based on the client's financial situation, as and when needed, and charged per consultation or for a few consultations?

I hate the idea of a beginner investor being locked in to paying 10K or similar for a flashy property investing education company that may still only offer generic advice and not much support after signing the dotted line.

    Thanks in advance.

Books from the public library are also pretty good.

      Hi Joesanga,

I'm firstly legitimately interested to hear why you have a negative impression of Property education companies.

Secondly, I think you might find it difficult to find genuinely personalized advice from any professional property coach unless it's as part of their training as opposed to a consultation system due to the liability with both AML and FMA requirements.

You might find an experienced property investor willing to assist, I've found successful investors to have an abundance mentality and to be willing to assist others when asked.

      Best of luck.

Joining your local property investor association is a great idea. Cost around $300, and receive great information, mix and mingle with other property investors, get property investor magazine and don't get sold to.

          Hi joesanga,

I see you asked the same question back in 2017 -

As you know by now there are many ways to increase your knowledge from spending more time on here (PropertyTalk) where you'll find the best investors to learn from. Also:

          books
          social media groups
          seminars
          property groups (like Property School)
          online learning (videos, etc)

What have you tried over the past couple of years?

          cheers,

          Donna
