Pre-Settlement Inspection

Hi there,

I purchased a house through an Auction. The settlement will be in two weeks from now. I got a question in regards chattels, If one of the stove elements is not working can I ask the vendor to fix it/deduct some money at pre-settlement check. In S&P states chattels in a working order.
