Googled it. Should have done this ages ago! Over at SkyCity they're saying it's taking ages too: https://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1852025

This is one of the posts:

just learnt that the incumbent engineers have walked off the job sighting a developer who doesn't know what they are doing and changing the goal posts continually and not listening to advice. Developers have approached two other reputable companies and each have said nah no way.

Also it looks like council is doing the developers job, because they need this SHA to work, or they are all going have egg on their face.

People buying into this development please be very careful we may be heading into a another spring park scenario.
    And another one:

I'm a buyer of one of the properties in this development and it seems to have been a slow process to getting them built. It's interesting to hear about the issues, the developers have been very poor at giving us updates about what's going on. If anyone has more information or pictures of the current state it would be good to share.
So I'm not the only one noticing how slow this is.

So these little units are nearly finished. The scaffolding is down.

Not sure about the interiors, but the grounds still need doing.

This is now a year and 9 months since my first photo posted here.

So there was earthworks before that. And say it takes another month or 2 before they're occupied... that is 2 years to build!!! And that doesn't even allow for the planning stuff before that. Which could have been another year.

          What the f**k??

Flat roof. No eaves. No garage, single carpark?. 2 years to build.
Sure this isn't a guvmnt project?
An extra 5000 people in the area - but no road improvements or new parks.
              Marvellous.

                  It spells ghetto doesn't it.

Building a multi house unit should be done with developer pride. Amenities, landscaping, visual appeal, a development inwhich the developer feels proud to keep one or more themselves as rentals.

They're doing the grounds etc. now, so it might come up to scratch.

Up the road, they've built a bunch in like 5 months, nearly finished.

Supposed to be 1800 units here, and they may finish 80-100 in 2-3 years...
