  • Trademe no longer the one stop shop?

So while having a look through at a few properties online tonight I found myself searching through realestate.co.nz and I searched the areas I would normally search on Trademe only to find a whole lot of listings that aren't Trademe.

Are agents starting to head to realestate.co.nz and just giving Trademe the flick? Anyone else noticed this?

Yep, I'm using it too, and finding it really good. TradeMe have gone too far I reckon...

Either use the [Prt Sc] on your keyboard, (rather crude, but copies
your screen to the clipboard, so you need to know what to do then)
or get a decent screen capture utility. Lightshot is one good one.

          can do those

but it's much more work - time

which kills it as a cost effective way to gather knowledge about future apartment buys

Select the image by left clicking and draging cursor over image, then Ctrl C. Paste using Ctrl V.

            No extra time involved.

Well, Lightshot is so easy, you surprise me.
I now use it in preference to right click and
              save image as.

Aston - have you tried what you suggested,
              on the site?

If I recall aright, there are two program options available
from their site. One woks in the browser only; the other
variant works no matter what's on the screen or what
program you're using, at the time.

                      Whatever.

Could be a dozen different reasons it doesn't work for you. The facility exists in your PC.

Thankyou for doing enough to force me to finally sign up. I'm not sure if you're running something other than windows, but your 'trick' doesn't work.

Never the less its beside the point. Is your average non computer tech savvy real estate browser going to know how to do it? No. They will simply leave and go back to Trademe.

The site is signing its own death warrant by not allowing easy download of photos.

                          Windows Snipping Tool works well:

You can capture any of the following types of snips:

Free-form Snip. Draw a free-form shape around an object.

Rectangular Snip. Drag the cursor around an object to form a rectangle.

Window Snip. Select a window, such as a browser window or dialog box, that you want to capture.

Full-screen Snip. Capture the entire screen.

After you capture a snip, it's automatically copied to the Clipboard and the mark-up window. From the mark-up window, you can annotate, save, or share the snip.

For screen captures I use 'greenshot' - great bit of freeware.
