I'd like to have 3 properties so i can pass on one to each child when I pass.

Can I still chase my dream and buy property now that the market is low?

I'm really...

Not sure I'd choose to live in these NZ towns. I wonder if they paid to be in this article?...

From the 2024 predictions discussion - the talk moved to KiwiSaver, so I thought I'd start a new discussion and get some feedback from our knowledgeable PTers.

This is theoretical - say I have $1m - and expect to live independently for 20 years once I retire. How much can I draw down each...

At the current level of $20,000 for an individual & $35,000 for a couple (after tax), its enough for a basic life if you have a mortgage-free home. However, if you were paying rent...

Assuming a couple is preparing for retirement and plan to live on rental income. All the rental properties they intend to invest including their home will be mortgage free. In this scenario, what is the best entity to execute the plan in order to minimize tax and protect the assets? Trust? LTC? Partnership?...

Currently the gross return is around 4% - out of that I have to pay rates etc.

Hi All,

Hope I can tap into some of your infinite wisdom and ask for some guidance on my next property purchase.

The facts:
Our first house is a "Home and Income" - divided into a 2 bed and 3 bed. We're currently living in the 2 bed and renting out the 3 bed....

Hi,

Long time reader- first time poster.

They are both working on good incomes ( ~ 100K HH) and in secure jobs and have about 8-10 years left before they retire.
