    I Love Apple

    Hello all,

I just wanted to share with you my absolute pleasure in using an Apple computer. Last month after trying to work with Linux after the nightmare virus called "Vista" just about stopped me from working I gave up and brought a Mac Mini.

All I can say is that I will NEVER go back to Windows!

Once I brought the Mac home I took it out of its box plugged in the cables including the broadband. Turned the Mac on - in less than 2 minutes I was online and doing work on Pt!

In the month I have had it - NOT 1 CRASH - NOT 1 REBOOT has been required. It runs day and night.

    I LOVE MY MINI!!!!

    Cheers

Welcome to the land of plenty and where dreams do come true. I work on the Mac every day and can only wonder why oh why do people persist with the sad personal computer anymore.

You can still run windows on a Mac also so all those who have excell spreadsheets etc... are taken care of.

Cant wait to get my hands on the iphone.

    Is there anything better?

      Hello FH,

I have Office for Mac - which I think is the only bit of MS software on my Mac. I am quite happy to leave it at that as well!

      Cheers

I must be the ONLY person in the world who hates her MAC
Entourage crashes at least once a day and when I am using Safari I cannot access all of the features on certain websites.
I think it's time for a chat with the MAC helpdesk...

            I feel a fight brewing!!

Pixar, undoubtedly one of the most successful CG companies in the world use Apple Mac which Steve Jobs has a 50.1% share of.

If pixar think enough of apple to use the hardware you would think that you would be relatively safe to say the hardware/software was pretty stable.

As far as problems with installing icons/apps and photos all I can suggest is visit apple.com and look up
problem solving. I have nothing but nice to say about apple as it works a dream for me.

Just say I love my mac and see what happens.

Patrick - it would take all night for me to explain.
I think I need to get a proper photo editing programme

Yesh! You must be! I have heard nothing but praise for Apple. Is your hardware up to running the software?

I have Tiger but will go to Leopard in a month.

                        I am currently using the following;

                        1) MS Office
                        2) Development tooling for websites
                        3) Apple Mail
                        4) Firefox
                        5) FTP app

So I think I am not in the same realm as you all seem to be. My Mac is more in line with a developers machine.

My Mac is so good looking, the OS rocks, the apps rock, the nerd stuff is great.

For a laugh I booted up my Vista Virus machine with 2 gigs of RAM and a fairly good CPU and timed it until the CPU dropped from 100% - it took nearly 6 minutes!

I really love Linux so to have a Unix based OS with all the good looking stuff is the best!

                        Cheers

Presumably. Rob deals with all that techno stuff. We had an extra 1GB added and the machine is only 6 months old.
