Hi there everyone
I've just signed up to this forum because I'm in a bit of a sticky situation.
We found a business card on our kitchen bench from our property manager... while she was in our home, she found our bong and also a couple of plants we shouldn't have had... She would have been snooping quite a bit to find this, it was in a little zip up greenhouse with some other veges and herbs. And we're literally talking 2 tiny plants which we've now... destroyed (it worked out to be less than you'd get for $50). It's not some huge commercial grow op, and we're certainly not selling.
She then gave us a 14 day notice to fix this, the garden and the general cleanliness of the house.
It horrified us that she'd been in the house without us knowing.
We sent a very good email quoting all sorts of legislation and insulting her in subtle, underhanded ways outlining exactly what sections she breached.
She's come back with an attachment of a notice she apparently sent but we did NOT receive. (Not just saying that, we totally would have been ready for it)
Does the notice even count if it were never delivered? The act says it must be 'given', which to me also implies receipt.
Where do we stand?
