Another idea is to have a Picnic Day on the following weekend. Bring a picnic. Find a park with a BBQ.

Good idea!!.....I went to a '40th' at the Groynes reserve last weekend,...Great Spot!!

Sun, beer, BBQ, talking sht,.....Great day!!

The kids enjoy themselves too!

It looks like most of the votes are in.....!

The majority of people have either picked the 11th or don't mind what day the Christmas dinner is held.

The only other decision to be made is where we would like the event to be held.

As there has been no objections to changing the event from the Tower Junction to the Bealey Ave Speights Ale House, that appears to be option one.

There has also been a BBQ idea put forward that needs some discussion. (option 2)

1) Are people happy to have a BBQ at somewhere like the Groynes on Tuesday 11th, or should it be moved to a weekend date?

2) Is the Groynes the place that most people would pick if other options were brought forward, bearing in mind the distance that some of us would have to travel?

Can I please have your thoughts so I can make the appropriate bookings.

I like the idea of the Speights Ale house, as it is central. The Groynes is ok for the weekend, but it is a totally different event from meeting at night in a restaurant.

I prefer option 1 (Bealey Speights) - pros & cons to both as far as we're concerned but a picnic might work better as a Sunday lunchtime thing in Jan/Feb, with kids? Would seem strange to be booking a babysitter to go out to a picnic

Put us down for 2 if it's Bealey, one to eat.

As you can all appreciate booking for a Christmas party does require a time schedule, also Donna and Marc require time to make travel arrangements from the Kapiti Coast in order to be with us.
