Don't argue with idiots, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Yes it's a well documented fact - lease options work EVERYWHERE in the country except for one place - where you live.

Yes, so there's NO deals in Chch and Lease Options do not work here either!

Careful son, you'll talk yourself into believing it and then the deals will dry up. I wish some of them would go away. Not enough time :-)

Hey! Just wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share their lease option contracts? We have a property in Roto-vegas that we're considering putting up for rent to own. We're overseas so it's going to be an interesting process to get our property manager on our side.... fingers crossed! We have the forms and contracts for canada, but want to get some NZ ones!! Is anyone able to please help us out? Thanks! Rebecca

The top contracts in NZ are only available to students that have attended lease options training seminars. Often you need to sign a license agreement to ensure contracts are not just shared between investors.

All this is put in place to protect the investor and other users. All users need to be fully trained on the correct use of such powerful documents.

Having said that is sometimes people on Trademe that sell NZ contracts. They may or may not be up to the standard of the ones that come with your lease option training. Buyer beware.

I do know for sure that GBI have spent several years getting there contracts robust and are the only contracts tried and tested in NZ over several years. Ask which contracts the big lease option people use and GBI seems to be the answer.

Can you hold off and attend a seminar?

Hi, No we are in Canada and would like to organise it through our property manager but quite carefully of course. We are familiar with the process and are involved in some over here. I have asked RM as we have spent a lot of money training through their programs but they just want to sell us the DVD set, which is not even available yet anyway... so I will just have to keep asking around i guess... Thanks

You'll be able to buy just the contract from Garth Melville and company solutions Ltd.
Though it's kind of like giving a child a loaded gun - up to you though.

Great analogy Toby. Can't stress enough that the rules are quite different in NZ Rebecca, due to things like the credit contracts act. Make sure you get all your ducks in a row.

You can buy the GBI home study course and get the contracts. I think this also gives you the course at 1/2 price if you make it back here in future.

Otherwise, you could employ someone doing lease options in Roto-vegas to manage one for you (for a fee of course).
