Why do we get so many of these overseas articles posted in the NZ forum? It's so frustrating wasting so much time looking at this stuff and then discovering it's not NZ.
Can't all this be kept in the country of origin, or at least clearly labelled as off shore?

Yes they are a pain in the neck. My understandi g is that Walter is meant to be 'seeding" articles into the forum. But all these overseas ones in the NZ forum is a total waste of my time.

I guess the way I see it is information is information and where it comes from doesn't matter, as long as I know it isn't NZ derived I can figure out the relevant differences and transfer over what is applicable. So personally I quite enjoy Walter's news postings, they can be very interesting although some can be humdrum...

I tend to agree with Monid. Information as long as it is identified with country of origin can be helpful to NZ investors too. The terms used may be slightly different but the basics are still the same.

It should be identified as not NZ though so you don't have to go and read it to find out IMHO

I don't like leaving the PT site to read an article because I don't usually come back, so I don't read them.

Would be much better if he posted the whole article instead of a link.

These overseas articles offer little (if any) relevance to NZ investors.

There are forums specifically set aside for content on the USA.

These articles shouldn't be posted here just because it gets more traffic.

Labelling country of origin and/ or placing in relevant forum for country applicable.

Also if Walter is serious about seeding articles and being helpful to members then he should include 2-5 sentences that summarise the article, tells us why it is relevant and to whom. i.e. wiifm (what's in it for me to read them?)

The whole article is posted on PropertyTalk.com Taupo Tiger in the articles section of the NZ region.

How about someone start a poll on whether all articles in the NZ region should be linked to the forum or just the articles written specifically about NZ.

I am used to Walter's style of posting notices that an article is available.

Some have obviously notched up their time/value meter up on the higher side of the scale, the offer in this article is available to all countries so should be no issues with it.

I tried to get the thing - the order form doesn't work trying to pay via paypal. I sent them an email to let them know and haven't heard back.

I'd be awfully worried if I had entered my credit card details and then the site didn't work... and nobody contacted me back.
