Hi all, I have been looking around Paraparaumu for a possible IP. Are there any problem areas or possible problems I might encounter in this area. Any advice or comments would be very welcome. Thanks Dick

Welcome to PropertyTalk.com Calmone. I have 5 properties in the area (Raumati - Paraparaumu) and from my experience the capital gain has been fabulous. The rents are low, as the average household income is very low (under $38K). This trend should move upwards with different industries growing in the Kapiti area.
Kapiti is the 3rd fastest growing region of NZ. Lots of development happening and planned both commercial and residential. New owners of the airport want to spend $750 m on it.
It has it's own micro climate - normally a few degrees warmer than central Wellington.
Cheers,
Donna

It was yesterday when I was in the area, but I am quite sure that if it wanted to move North we could accomodate up here. Just for your information we on the North Shore are not Aucklanders really, and in my case I am an old Petone boy, with the emphasis on the old.Originally posted by StevegoodeyParaparaumu that's south of the bombay hills right
