P House stops Auction in its tracks

Talk about a close call....the house was about to be auctioned - it has been seized by Government as it was the home of some drugs criminals - yet it has not been checked before listed on the market. The Government didn't recommend to local council to get the property tested before listing it - there were over 100 people at the auction when a forsenic consultant declared there was residue of P in the property - that he had tested it for his client (a prospective buyer).

I'm quite amazed the Government who seized the property didn't order the testing of the property!

Maybe this is something that needs more attention - is P getting that widespread that properties need to be tested before purchase?

    cheers,

Also amazes me that so many people, presumably both owner occupiers and investors, would want to buy a P house without testing.

Change that to drug and you may have a valid statement.

If it was a P house, only fools would buy untested.

        Two situations -

        1) Councils are placing clauses on land/houses titles if a house is known to have been a P-lab ie raided by the Police or damaged.
        2) A house that HASN'T been raided by the Police or damaged in any way but has been used in the manufacture of P, then it's seized by the Government.

        Who don't test it.

        See the conundrum here?

None of the potential investors was told it was a P House - only drug reference was to cannabis growing operation

All people who went to the open home (including kids accompanying parents) were exposed to an environment Government scientists would go into unless they were wearing the civilian equivalent of a chemical warfare suit.

The whole sorry story is a disgrace and a reflection of our times.
