Idea for Fencing

Hi expert do-uppers.

I have a property on a main road with low brick fence.

I would like to put up a higher fence.

What would be the most economical option?
To take down brick fence and put up new wooden fence or keep existing and put trellis on top?

If anyone had the same problem before and found an answer to it please let me know.

your brick fence will be single skin so wont take having anything like trellis built on top so if you want to go higher you will need to build behind the brick wall with a timber wall, or remove the brick wall and build another wall in its place

How wide is the nib / foundation that the brick
wall sits on? (If it has one wider than the wall)

I'd build a treated wooden fence about a foot behind it. Then fill the gap with soil and plant a nice little hedge.

Not too expensive and looks nice.
