Am I too late?

Before Xmas day

My goal is to settle on the purchase of my first trade, fix up within 4-6weeks and sell on for 20k profit.

I will also buy our second trade before Xmas.

We would have finished building our minor dwelling without complication and it will be rented out.

Before Xmas I will ask my bank manager if we can continue trading (1 at a time for now) and buy another buy and hold (our servicing gets really tight on one income, plenty of equity though).

But now, it was just interesting I was thinking of a conversation my husband and I were having just last night after we had gone out for dinner, we were discussing which charitable organisations we were going to donate houses to. Now that lifts it to a whole new level, we are still thinking on this at present but in a year or so I would say we will be taking some action on this. We want to assess the need first and put them where they are most needed (in our own opinions as it is our money) And it may not be just houses. We were discussing all sorts of options with what we could do for others.

This inspires me - and people that are doing likewise - making their money and then giving a lot of it away to a suitable charity. Marc and I are focusing on growing our bulk email delivery business to contribute in a similar way. Our passion is property so providing housing for less fortunate people is a core focus for us too.

Definitely inspirational Donna, though I think "less fortunate" is too broad, even I am less fortunate then you and Marc .

I like the way the programs like Mucking In operate, where people that give to the community are rewarded for their contribution.

There are a lot of programs for 'housing' aboard - we're following one in particular created by Justin Herald (an aussie) however NZ is a primary focus for us so contributing to a mix of both ideally...hundreds of thousands of dollars makes a reasonable difference and is a goal of ours, within 5 years.

For me, a classic car by Christmas - has anyone got a mint early Corvette (circa 1962) they would consider parting with? The last one I rang about (Classic Car magazine) had sold.
