Hi all
We made an unconditional offer for a property which after some clowning around by the vendor was finally accepted when we said we would walk away if they didn't knuckle down and sort it out.
The vendor is a bit of a know-it-all and trying to get out of paying GST and a bit slimy.
Unfortunately for us, we had an error on our loan documents that wasn't picked up until the day before settlement and as a result we have to wait until Monday to transfer funds to complete sale.
This turkey has now called to issue all kinds of threats, and my question is, can he cancel the deal or do we have a certain number of days to rectify the issue ?
My bank has said they'll cover penalty fees so I'm not sure why so much drama but I've never had a situation like this before ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
