Auckland Super City - How Have Forumites Fared?

I know there have been comments about the changes, here-and-there, on
the Forums. Has the dust settled? If so, what have PT Forumites seen and
experienced? Of particular interest to me is those (doubtless) much publicised
savings & efficiencies. Did any of them happen? If so, did services improve
and/or increase? What were the levels of staff reductions, over the entire
Auckland Councils' area? Perhaps Rates went down (or didn't go up) to abso-
lutely positively demonstrate the savings to ratepayers?

    Yeah, right?

Resurrecting this old thread out of direct interest, given
that the same sentiments are being expressed about
    amalgamation of several HB Councils.

Anyone keep a list of mirage promises which failed to deliver?
Or know if there is one, prepared by some other netizen?

As in my first post, do the $ savings to ratepayers actually
happen? Even if no one has one, or knows where there is
a list of broken promises and costings, I'd appreciate it if
forumites with properties in the taken-over areas of Auckland,
as well as those within the old Auckland city, could make up
a table / list of their annual rate demand fugures by year,
relating that to the years before-and-after the year that the
    forced super city shemozzle happened.

    Residential and commercial, if possible.

So far zero savings but definitely reduced bureaucracy with some of the bitchier previous local councils
