So now I've bankrupted this turkey.

            Around $4k Keys.

I had a couple of solicitors (had to change part way through) do it at good rates. So probably about $2.5k in solicitors fees and the other $1.5k in court fees, tracing costs etc.

The Serious Fraud Office are still investigating this guy. So it will be interesting to see what happens there...

Indeed eri, but it had to be done. If no one takes action against these sorts of guys, then they just keep doing it.

Well, I've never had the will before. It took a guy who just repeatedly pissed me off, stole from other people etc. And then one day he rang up and swore at me, my family etc. He also lied at the disputes tribunal hearing, saying I followed his wife around in my car and all sorts of crap.

So I decided someone had to stop him.

I do have the patience for these sorts of things. The courts don't make it easy either. Big parts of the 2 years are down to the courts stuffing things up, dates having to be reset and so on.

I really hope the SFO nails him.

It is alleged McDonald filed about 250 false tax returns in order to receive money from the IRD

Based on past events of a similar nature, the taxpayers will
get done by the IRD, rather than the said tax agent. Talk
                        about inequitable . . .

He was never a chartered accountant. He was just an accountant.

Anyone can set up a business and call themselves an accountant. I could do it tomorrow.

But I can't call myself a Chartered Accountant... big difference which I didn't appreciate when I took him on as a tenant.
