New 26 Floor Tower for AKL CBD

    Source

An Auckland property developer has applied to build a 26-level, $NZ200 million ($A157.52 million) office tower in Auckland's CBD.

Developer Tim Edney has applied to the Auckland City Council for resource consent to build the 35,305sq m, environmentally friendly building on the block between Customs St East, Gore St, Gore St Lane and Fort St, the Herald reported.

Expecting to start work soon, Mr Edney said the tower had been designed to be tall and thin as to not block the view from other skyscrapers in the area.

The building would feature double-glazing, sun-control screening, mid-building and roof-level gardens, solar panels, water recycling and rainwater collection systems and bicycle parks.
Maybe this is not new news? Good to see new development set to get underway.

    cheers,

    Donna

I first read about it from The Bob Dey Proeprty Report and the tenant will be ANZ.

Now the question is: when will ASB moves from Albert St to the waterfront? And where?

Sounds like a nice building. I wonder who gets to use the garden and roof top areas?

Makes you wonder if AMP will ever tenant there building at 21 Queen.
