Is it easy to add layer of concrete on ground floor of a house?

Hi, I'm sorry for asking weird questions - say I would like to add an inch or two of concrete on my ground floor -
Is it easy to do? Just rip off carpets and get a contractor to apply wet concrete?

Or is it a "don't even go there" type of scenario?
