    More than $4000 worth of electricity was allegedly stolen to grow cannabis worth more than $100,000 on the Kapiti Coast.

    I wonder if it the house was a rental? If it is, how often were the inspections done ....... if at all? By the LL? By the PM?

    The shortest amount of time I allow between inspections and there's no way plants of that size can grow in 3 months. Seems like it's been a while since the last inspection, eh?!

            Yes, a small step-ladder to just peek into the roof space.

            Why wouldn't you look into all rooms/spaces?? If your tenant has been using their plants growing skills, you'll spot it pretty quick.

            Another hint, if you find rooms that are "inaccessible" because someone's working night shift, or a lock has been added to an internal door, be very worried. Insist that they open the door (for that peek). If they won't open locked doors, be very worried.
