    winz rent payments have stopped

    hey hopefully someone can help!!

I have had a tenent and her rent has been going from winz straight into my account, but now these payments have stopped, im thinking these payments shouldnt have stopped unless my tenent has told them to, my tenent is saying she doesnt know why, i wish winz would have sent me a letter, i plan on talking to my tennents case manager tommorow, what are the chances of winz catching up with the payments?

You will get no joy from the case manager. Ping a 14 day notice in the mail. Start the proceedings. When the rent starts again, you've covered your bases this time. If the rent doesn't start, you're off to the TT. Also, continual 14 day letters sets a pattern for the (ahem) client, to get a bad score on TINZ. If WINZ acknowledge that their actions are causing their client to gain a bad reputation, they might change their ways (Tui anyone?)

Yes, start the process with a 14 day letter NOW. Talk to your tenant, tell them you are writing it, and ask them to make an appointment with WINZ now, as they will have the letter before the appointment. WINZ won't do anything for you directly, they will only act for their client. You need to remove as many of the delays in the process as you can. make sure the tenant raises the missing rent with them also.

There will be a reason and it most likely will be that their benefit has been stopped. Had same happen to me, winz found out tenant was living in a defacto relationship where the partner was in full time employment. Get that 14 day notice organised quickly or it could cost you.

Nice QR Code. If your tenants scan it does it give them their rent balance?
