    West Auckland Handyman

Hi guys, need a couple of little things fixed at home and I'm out due to injury.

So I want someone who can do basic carpentry stuff and deck repairs etc. Property is in West Auckland.

The guy I've used in the past isn't available any more.

Thanks wildtir, only just saw that.

I have had someone around, and they will come and do the 2 little jobs I have. I will report back on how good they are.

Ok, so got a good builder guy around. He replaced a section of rotten decking (Kwila) and put a ceiling hatch into our ceiling (can you believe there wasn't one!!!) which we needed to get to a tv aerial splitter.

They were kinda pricey but did a good job and all in one day. Cost was $813, we supplied the deck materials and the bit of gib for the ceiling hatch hole.

I find the little jobs do seem quite expensive for what they are but then they still take time and I guess it's the labour charge that comes into play. I imagine the ceiling hatch would've taken some time as when my joiner had to reinstate mine after tenants somehow pulled it down (???), it was quite fiddly. Mind you he did a very nice job. Unfortunately he is too busy installing kitchens now to assist with my little jobs. In fact all the builders I know and have used in the past for renos, etc are all flat out on big projects.....

Thanks for the follow up. Would you recommend them?

Yeah I would recommend them: Maintain to Profit: http://www.maintaintoprofit.co.nz/

They've been mentioned on here a few times.
