I have always wondered why one would want to know?
1. To find out if this is a good time to buy - problem is we looking back at twelve months?
2. To find out if other people are doing the same - doesn't really matter because investing is about personal goals
3. General investor trend - very unlikely to be adequately answered here accurately.
ActionMan, I hear what you say, generally it's about goal setting. (And whom to take out for a lunch)
your 1 2 3 are irrelevant to me but would make sense to other ppl here I guess
Don't argue with idiots, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
How about a parallel poll asking how many properties people are considering purchasing in the next twelve months? Rather than putting a number on future investing, how about three options: Fewer than in the last twelve months, then same as in the last twelve months, and more than in the last twelve months?
A discussion with Marc and Donna led me to believe that the forum has been far more active over the last twelve months than prior to that time. This suggests that there are many newer users on this forum who, like me, are learning a lot. I for one will be ramping up my investing (my strategy calls for two properties in the next 12 months). It would be interesting to find if others on this forum are gaining momentum like I sense many are.
Just a thought.
Paul.

Reason: Poor spelling, alas.
SuperDad - good idea, why don't you create the poll you are suggesting (i don't have exclusive option on polls here me thinks)
Grant, to late to change wording, we'll do it in couple of month with:
"How many deals have you done in last 12 month?"
