    Seeking Little Gems of Wisdom

    Hello all,

Donna and I were wondering if the community could share any little tips of wisdom. It doesn't even have to be related to property directly - maybe even mindset etc...

    Cheers

    Marc

P.s - I will try and think of an example!

    Jeez Marc

Here's a stab at a "gem": Find your passion in life, and pursue it. If you do this, you will be truly happy.

Most people will have more than one passion. I have several, each of which I am able to pursue. Everything I do contributes in some way towards one of those passions. For example, changing my youngest daughter's shitty nappy makes me happy (seriously!), because it contributes towards my daughter's happiness, about which I am passionate. I see that a lot of people on this forum are passionate about property. I'm getting that way myself.

    Paul.

      Cool SuperDad!

      Here is one from me...

Every day visualize in your mind that you have reached a goal you currently have. See yourself living your life with the goal reached.

For example if you have a goal of having a huge holiday in Europe then visualize yourself some where in Europe having the time of your life.

Your mind is an amazing tool and it feeds off this type of practice.

      Cheers

        Marc,

When learning to play gold, I was told to "visualise to realise". Something went wrong somewhere, and i don't play golf anymore.

Silly stories aside - the mind is a phenomenal tool. There are plenty of stories on this site alone of people who have radically changed their lives by doing something as simple (but at the same time as difficult) as changing they way they think aobut the world.

Come on others - make the world a better place by contributing to this thread.

        Paul.

If you think you are beaten you are,
If you think you dare not you dont,
If you like to win, but think you cant,
It is almost certain you wont.

If you think you'll lose your lost,
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellows will,
ts all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself,
Before you can ever win a prize.

          Lifes battles dont always go,
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late, the man who wins,
Is the man who thinks he can.

Great idea starting this thread Marc . A few gems :

Remind yourself always that you cannot relieve a problem by condemning it.

You can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it.

              Another one

Have a mind that's open to everything, and attached to nothing
              - Tilopa

A mind that is open is one that invites in miracles. When you’re open to everything and attached to nothing, you’ll learn that you don’t need to evaluate yourself based on money or fame. Success is measured upon your ability to do what you love and love what you do.

When you do what you love and love what you do, you are in the flow. Synchronicities will happen, the right people will show up and so on... it's like you have collaboration with fate.

I am always reminded that the journey to success is through the persistence of setting and achieving goals.

                      Here are some jems about persistence;

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.
                      Dale Carnegie

Many of life's failures are people who did not realise how close they were to success when they gave up.
                      Thomas Alva Edison

Heres a beauty from one our own forum members

                        Quote from Monid:
If you want to make large amounts of money from property in the relative short term then you need to approach it as a business and take the appropriate (Often high) level of risk. If you approach it as an investment then the risk will be lower but it will take much longer to make large amounts of money from. In other words do you want to take MASSIVE action or SUSTAINED action...

This gem was sent to me today....

How about when Alice in Wonderland comes to a fork in the road and doesnt know which way to go

So while she is wondering she looks up and the cheshire cat appears in a tree

Excuse me she says i wonder if you can tell me which fork to take

The cheshire cat says certainly and asks where do you want to go

Alice said well I dont really know

And the cheshire cat replies, well it doesnt really matter then.

                          Cheers

Do as many of the things you want to do now, don`t wait till you have one foot in the grave, have alot of money and die, that would truly suck!

                              My all time favourite:

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful individuals with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
