      What country were the refugees from? Sorry to hear of your predicament , i think its symptomatic of a blindsided socialist govt , they are not vetting these people.

        They’re South American...but i’m Not sure that’s relevant. The issue is not being trained on living in a western style house mixed with not maintaining properties to the standard you or I would expect.

        When their used to living in a refugee camp in relative squalor they’re not going to be taking their shoes off at the door to keep the new carpet clean or clean the toilets/bathroom a couple of times a week.

          Of course its relevant it helps us stereotype those countries to avoid ...I have seen the stinkiest living conditions one could imagine when i saw hundreds of families living in a rubbish dump in the Philippines, yet those same families atill managed to churn out their children each morning for school wearing clean pressed garments. So being a refugee from squalid conditions does not mean they don't understand about universal cleanliness ; if they messed your house up that is more a reflection on those people as individuals .

          Incidentally i didn't think NZ was taking any refugees from Latin American countries?
