Something that has baffled me for years is what constitutes a townhouse in Christchurch ?
Remember Braziers advertising a block consisting of concrete block on the bottom, wood up top, peaked roofs built
in the mid 70's and advertising it as townhouses (may have been titled older townhouses). Maybe sale hype maybe not
but would have thought would have been called block of flats/units.
Wiki definition
A townhouse, or town house, is a type of medium-density housing in cities, usually but not necessarily terraced (row housing) or semi-detached. A modern town house is often one with a small footprint on multiple floors. The term originally referred to the city residence of a member of the nobility, as opposed to their country seat.
