    3 questions for Donald Trump

What 3 question would you ask Donald Trump if you were the lucky winner in the Big Wednesday lottery

Big Wednesday promo offers chance of Trump lifestyle

American billionaire Donald Trump is lending his name to a New Zealand lottery Big Wednesday sales promotion which launches today.

The Trump Up Your Life promotion included an all-expenses paid trip to New York for the winner and three friends, and $100,000 for the winner.

The lucky four would spend six nights at the new Trump Soho hotel, receive $US10,000 ($NZ14,250) spending money each, play golf at Trump National Golf Club, and meet Mr Trump himself, if his schedule allowed.

The winner would also receive a set of high-end luggage and have a chaffeur-driven limo on-call during the time in New York.

Mr Trump, a real-estate and casino magnate known for his starring role in TV show The Apprentice, personified the luxury lifestyle which would become a reality for Big Wednesday winners, NZ Lotteries chief executive Todd McLeay said.

Can I please have the cash instead of the trip?

Even better - can Donald look after the cash and give it to me in 5 years (including profits).

I would ask him one question. At what point in dollar terms does a man become content.

            1. How did you get started.
            2. How did you overcome early set backs.
            3. What would you do today if you were 20 years old and in my situation.

And I'd also ask him why hasn't he bought an English Premier League club? That's my ultimate dream to own a football club. That would be totally awesome.

              Content with what?

If these are the best questions.... it is fairly certain that NZ will be pegged with Kazakhstan in 2025 in GDP as predicted in idealog.co.nz.

The first two are covered in his book I think.

Yeah, piss off. What's wrong with wanting to marry his daughter?

I was thinking this as well. Plus his other successes appear to be with luxury apartments in manhattan. How relevant is that to NZ. Metropolis would be the closest NZ and that was a failure for the developer.

The key would be to figure out how his investing style applies to NZ and target questions on that.

Or take another tack and ask him non business questions.

                      1. what is the most amazing experience you have enjoyed that you wouldn't have been able to if you weren't rich?
                      2. what is the most amazing experience you have enjoyed that you could have done even if you were poor?
                      3. Is there anything that you have given up, but wished you didn't because of the life you lead?

Or to add to Mr Buffetts line of questioning:
Did you really divorce your previous wife just before her entitlement increased under the prenup and was that the reason for the timing?

It's funny that a guy whose avatar is the Rich Dad Poor Dad quadrant thingy would ask that.

Because that's exactly how Donald got his start - he had a very rich Dad.

If we need inspiration, then we need look no further beyond NZ... Graham Hart is richer than Trump and is in the productive sector as Hickey would put it. And he didn't have a rich dad!

Its true. From memory, his dad owned whole apartment complexes in Queens. The Don liked the high life so used the family money and invested in Manhatten which his dad didn't approve of. He made some very big bets and it paid off.

I think this is his earliest book which explains a lot: Link
