    Why property?

What is your 'why' for property?

Some help nature, some people, some animals. All, in my mind linked.

For every property we trade/sell, $500NZD is going to the Abandoned Dog Centre in Bali, $500 goes a very long way in Bali.

Being part of XL Foundation (aiming for World Wide Wealth), I am also sponsoring a Balinese childs education, and each time I stay at Vision Villas, one Balinese person recieves sight through the John Fawcett Foundation (removing cataracts)

Property talk itself also has a strong social responsibility

I urge all of us to really think "why property" and choose to invest time or money or both, to make our world a better place

    I agree

I totally agree with Rustica. There must be a good "why" in the equation and also the opportunity for our success to help others who really need it.

Although I have donated to a child in India for years I have now fulfilled an oath I made to myself to donate to a hospice in Hawkes Bay. Each time I benefit from a property transaction I donate. Last week I also donated to the Aria MacDonald Fund. Many may have seen the article in the Auckland property press of the 11 month old girl who needs a bowel transplant for her to survive. If all of us can help in some way then the world will be a better place and some of it's individuals will be far better off.

Donating to charity is one of my "why's". Time is the main one as it allows us to do these things.

I'm with both of you. I see property investment as a way of setting up the future both for my family, and for the extended community. I want to free up time so that I can donated more of it to charities I want to work with. I also donate monies now to the SPCA, Womans refuge, The Neurological Society, Cancer Charities and others. It's good to know that others think along the same lines. Dean Leftus has been doing charitable work for years.
