    Trade me ad removed

I had a general ad and property talk and it was removed - see below.

A good indication for people to make sure they have a house, even if it's a sold or old one?

Regarding Trademe... another issue I found. If you're advertising in the NZ Herald they will not allow you to quote a Trademe reference number. Apparently it's "their policy" !! (Could this be something to do with News Corp vs Fairfax??!!)

Other local papers are OK when refering to Trademe.

Speaking of trade me reference numbers - I've tried to search for my listing from the front page using the reference number. It doesn't seem to work.

        What am I doing wrong?

        Cheers,
        Lynda.

          - I would say that's exactly the reason, as you see Trademe advertised in the classifieds in Fairfax papers.

but it is a breach of our terms and conditions to use a listing purely to promote your business, products, or services on the site
          - I find this a bit strange as you can list your accommodation business on the site, not to mention many other ways to advertise your business, product or service.

            :

Could the reason be that by quoting simply a reference number The Herald is losing revenue as maybe the details of what you are selling does not have to be as long ?

Good point, that makes sense to me, actually, I think the Herald ad prices are way too expensive for the results you get.
Even Fairfax in the local papers is over-the-top expensive, but hey, what other choice is there?
