Average Property Values - Information

Would the average house values be public information? Can't seem to find anything on the net. Would anyone know where to find this info, even if I have to pay for it.

Basically trying to figure out how much a 3 bedroom house is currently worth compared to a 2 bedroom house in Newtown Wellington.

I've done some more research

Just spoke to a valuer who will give me a valuation on the specific house with some guidelines as to what work I will be getting done.

However, just wanted a bit of a look by value by bedroom somewhere. The QV site doesn't do by bedroom.

Do you think I"ll get any information about the number of bedrooms and house values anywhere.

I don't think it's that easy to get values per bedroom.

You may have more luck doing a search as per site size or floor space.

Have a look at www.qvrp.co.nz

Or do a search for housing corp web site then look for market rent information this could help if you are valuing with a capital rate of return.

Lastly try here www.stats.govt.nz/

You could try ask a real estate agent for their sales history information of the area.
