Replacing Gutters

I realise the guttering needs replacing as there a large waterdrops from the a couple of damaged spots.

Having not done this before - Is this a simple job? Anything to watch out for and what is the best type of tradesman to do this - roofers or builders?

Also what type/brand of guttering is best.

Depends on what you want to use for the replacement.
If plastic do it yourself.
If metal try some of the outfits that specialise in guttering - Continuous Gutters and the like (Yellow pages).
