Hey Peoples,

I have a friend looking to bid at an auction in a week or two in Christchurch and she wants to know of a reputable building inspection company down that way that is very thorough...

Any recommendations welcome..

Best to use a registered building surveyor, be aware that many inspection companies are franchised so literally anyone can be an inspector if you can afford the franchise. www.buildingsurveyor.co.nz lists members in your area.

If your trying to save a few dollars, sometimes it's quite good just to get a local builder (one with a good reputation) to have a look over the property for you. As they know what they are looking at & will give you a very straight up answer.
