    huge printing cost?

    Hi

Does anybody here do alot of colour printing such as flyers or brouchures? (e.g., nice property flyers) How much does it cost? It seems this kind of marketing campaign gets very expensive!

From memory vistaprint is based in the Netherlands.

www.printstop.co.nz is an NZ based printery with good pricing. All of their pricing is online, too, so you will able to tell pretty quickly what your budget can extend to.

        Paul.

          Ok guys

so basically, for vistaprints, the cost for an A4 leaflet folded into 3 is $1599, and printstop.co.nz is $1328, for 10,000 pieces

that's still quite alot of money~~~

can we cut it down any further or that's about the lowest cost option we can get?

          thanks

            13c per unit is cheap!!!

Your main cost is going to be distribution - how on earth do you plan to distribute 10,000 units?

Even if you got the leaflets for free, the distribution costs will cripple you.

Sadly it appears many people use the web for entertainment (facebook, youtube etc) or to find advice after the fact.

Marc posted this today: The divide between people who understand technology and those that do not is dramatically increasing. Who cares to explain 4square to the late majority?Ignoring the 4square bit, it makes a valid point. If the demographics say your clientele aren't computer literate then you'd better keep the printing presses running ")

You can't smell a freshly made website, you can't run your fingers over the silky smooth surface of a good coated art paper (never mind the ink on your fingers), marvel that all those colours are produced with with just CMYK ink.
Or feel the weight of 10,000 page views.

Ah Gutenberg, some of us celebrate your acheivments still.

                  Cheers

I thought spamming was illegal in NZ ?

Awesome! Can you afford to send out a full colour, high quality glossy through the mail to 10,000 people for less than $500? I was thinking you'd probably be looking at somewhere in the region of $10k+?

Yep it is now. But it's easy for anyone with a retail presence to develop a mailing list in the thousands. I'm always amazed at how many retailers let people walk in and out of their shop all day long and have no way of contacting them once they leave!

ok, it seems the post ended up a debating about technology and paper....

First I do agree that the main cost is the distribution, no doubt.

But anyhow, at the moment I just want to check out the price and see if there's an business opportunity. Cause if anyone needs alot of printing done and doesn't need the printed material urgent, I could have it done at 35 to 50% off, with the same quality.

Well not sure if I can post here (seems like an ad :P), but feel free to PM me. I am trying to find ways to support my property investment .......

btw, does anyone where I should go look for (electronically, i.e., internet/forum/email etc) people who needs lots of printing?

                        thanks alot for your help~

After reading through 2 pages I take it that you are intending to set up business, you're not looking to have some printing done at the cheapest possible price?

Have you tried ringing around a few printers? I did sometime ago when i needed a few thousand units done and found the place i used in manukau was cheapest and most convenient to my desired location.
