    Diesel oil on concrete

more correctly diesel oil OFF concrete.
Does anyone know of a sure fire (preferably personally tested) method of removing oil from the garage floor and driveway.
I have tried a few now, latest today called Move It.Not bad at removing general dirt as most of them seem to be,but the oil remains.
Any known remedies please let me know.Thanks.
    Regards Roberto

Try making a slurry or paste of cement and turpentine (cheapest at supermarket). Don't worry, it will not set but slowly dry into a powder and suck out the diesel and the dirt left by the diesel as it does so. Only use this method on plain not colored concrete.

If that scares you try washing powder like Drive or Persil. Spread a 5 mm layer (dry) over the stains and just leave. Rain won't be a problem but you'll then need to spread more. The powder will attract moisture overnight and dry in the sun or dryer air during the day, sucking up the oil as it does so. This is OK on any concrete.

Repeated applications of petrol gently scrubbed with a plastic brush can help but gets expensive these days.

Thanks for that. I'll try the cement slurry first and see how we go.
