    Which Structure???

Hi Everyone. This is my first post on this site.
I have a question. As a first time investor, what structure would I be best to set up ie. LAQC, Trust, company etc?
I did say I was new. I know I'm gonna make some mistakes along the way...probably big ones, but this is one thing I just can't muck up. Suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Hi djmetz. An LAQC is usually safe, but some professional advice is well worth it fi you want to "get it right" There are a whole lot of things that affect what structures you personally would be best to use.

Hey fudosan and Poomba, thanks for steering me in the right direction. I've done a bit of exploring since I posted yesterday and have come to the conclusion that...I need to explore some more! My situation is that I have an IP in Christchurch already that has no mortgage. Last GV was $195,000. It's returning $250 pw. I bought it after selling our flat here in Sydney and not really wanting an enormous mortgage to live where we wanted. So decided to rent for the time being, yet still keep our money in RE somewhere. It has proved to be a good decision Capital Gains wise. But now my wife and I are quite happy here renting and are looking to invest some more. As we don't want to use any income from here and also don't want a mortgage on the Christchurch property either to do it...we'll need some good solid advise as to where we go from here. This forum seems to be a good place to start. Any advise would help. Cheers,
