You need to have written a book ( on your own!) not like Phil and David who had Brad Sugars holding their hand What a joke!

And have actually had years of experience as in more than 10! ( not 3 or less) and be at least a Multi Millionaire as in 10 plus Million not 2 or 3.

Your core income should be directly from property not book sales and or seminars. The books and seminars are to make money yes but they came AFTER you had got out of the rat race they are not a MEANS for you to get out of it.

Ahh Rat I like your idea I have quoted above.

Also I would like a property guru to be able to mentor prospective PGs for only a nominal fee.

              regards

Westan is Property Guru as he is making all his money from Properties not from book sale and seminars.

Other then westan I don't know anyone who is just making money from properties.

                Cheers

Self declared property gurus lose it right there...

They need to have proven their worth, they don't need to have written a book at all. any fool can write a book on a subject.

Guru is an inappropriate word that has crept into modern usage in the last decade. It is a confusing term as evidenced by the number of times it is used for both praise and derision.

A guru is, in fact, a spiritual leader of the Hindu faith.

Property spruikers who call themselves gurus usually do so because they don't know how to spell charlatan.

Charlatan - "one who pretends to more knowledge or skill than he possesses - a quack." Mmm - now I wonder who that describes.

                    Cheers

Guru books have inspired me to action BUT it is my MENTOR ( free) that has kept me on track and pushed me.
All I had to do was ask.

Since then three people have asked me to mentor them. I am helping two of them ( for free)
The third I am not helping because they were all talk no action. One wants another meeting with me and I said " sure" once you have completed your written goals. Until that happens I will not spend anymore of my time on this person.
My mentor was the same with me.

If I was paying for a mentor they would take my money regardless of whether I actually took action or not.
When it is for free the mentoree feels more of an obligation to stop talking and dreaming and start DOING. Also the Mentor gets a Buzz from the mentoree's success.

                        GURU smuru,

                            Good point Rat.

NZ seems to have lost the friendly mentor attitude and now everyone one is after a buck or 2.

If I wanted to pay by the second, we have lawyers for that (and more recently, Accountants)

I aim to mentor people, and charge nothing. But like you, I very rarely see people more than once (due to their inactivity). Go hard or go home!!!

Go hard or go home.....I like it.

It is so true that very few people have what it takes. They say they want it but they don't want it enough. They are dreamers NOT planners, when push comes to shove they choose to stay in their comfort zone.

My zone keeps changing. When my other half said that he/she was going to double our income I was sceptical but supportive. That was achieved within a year so now I am supportive AND very motivated to push the boundaries further.

I used to think a Million would be enough. Now that our asset base is 3 Million Net we both are aiming higher.
We have a clear plan of action to turn a 4 Million dollar company into a 30 Million dollar company in 3 years.

Once upon a time I would have thought that it was impossible but now I know that it is simply a matter of time if we stick to the plan and pull off the mutually benefital deal with the Big time corporate company that we have formed a relationship with.
They are already planning how they are going to advertise our joint product to customers so closure of the deal is looking very good indeed.

Oh and after that is all completed we are going to LIST the company.

I can only think BIG now. Small and comfortable is no longer our world.

( oh and what has all this to do with property? Well, we only went into business to get the cashflow to BUY property!)
