  • I never got the madness of investors buying low to zero rate bonds ... like you show these investors losing 22% for a so called safe A+ bond ... and rates look to go even higher than RBNZ predict ... no way we can be lower than the FED thats talking up 4.75% maybe higher ...

  • Yes didn't Labour borrow like 60bill NZD off the FED reserve back when NZD was like 20% higher for COVID spend up ? .. and of course it would be at the FED fund rate which is rising fast 3% to 3.25% at present ..could well see 4-5% soon enough ...

    All NZ Private and public debt $722Bill...

    Yes I think so ... ANZ standard rates now all over 6% .... will the other banks follow ? FED raised 75bpts over night and is talking another 125bpts before the years out ... RBNZ will be force to continue to raise ... we may even see high 6% rates being the lowest 1yr fixed etc by MAY 23 >>...
