Hi,
We are quite new to this, although have bought our first property in East Auckland recently.
Our property manager has discovered that the real estate agent who was in attendance at the original open home and marketing the property was actually the vendor too.
We were aware of the Holding Company name and our manager came back with the details.
We were quite taken aback as we asked many questions about the marketability of the property and the real estate agent responded with "I don't know, as I am not really a property investor".
Is this breaking some code of ethics or am I wide of the mark here?
We are happy with our first purchase and the yield of 6.4% is reasonable for the area. We plan to hold for at least 7-8 years and are realistic in our longer term view.
Any thoughts on this? Should we report the agent?
Thanks.
toffee.
