    Default Which Web site

We have been discussing at work what web site investors use the most. So I have decided to run a poll and see what the computer savy investors are using. Sorry if I have missed out some as I am Christchurch based I am unsure what sites get more use in the North Island.

realestate.co.nz mostly - because of the ability to do keyword search and also all pictures for the property are on ONE page - saves heaps of time. Also can set price-range.
I would use harcourts more if i had access to internal listing - they are much more useful!
LJ and RayWhite useless. brasiers search is no good but at least has more info (legal description) yet search is more than basic.

ditto - realestate.co.nz for keywords and rss feeds.

I also have trademe alerts but find listings are often a day later on there.

Yes, I agree Braziers search is a little pointless but they mainly relie on outside websites for marketing. Which is mainly allrealestate but interesting that has not got any votes yet.

Ok, yes I know keywords works a treat when you are looking for the DIY, investment, must sell, reduced, sleepout............. but you can do a search on christchurch only with out selecting all the suburbs like you have to do in Harcourts.

    I voted realestate.co.nz, although
I would use trademe just as much. (My daily routine is to search both.

I voted for the former because I prefer the superior searchability found there.

Angela, your agency positions itself as "investor's" oriented. There are lots of different types of investors, some of them will even tolerate "cute, adorable" and maybe "you will immideately fall in love with this delightful investment property".
Yet I would assume most will at least know theit price range, areas and type of property (boarding, flats, subivide, sleepout - as key/searchword). That's why allrealestate (and most others) suck. Trademe and realestate.co.nz - realestate still better.

This is why I find it a little strange we only advertise on All real estate and the problem we have with 'realestate is that as we are solely residential investments they put us under the commercial heading, how many of you look under the commercial section at residential flats.

I think most of our sales are through the email data base so if you are not on it then you would be missing out on most of our properties as lots don't make it to websites.
