Hello, we have a three bedroom 1960's weatherboard in Hillcrest, North Shore, Auckland.
We have a 1970's era Versatile double car garage at the back of the property which we never use. It is actually awkward to get to as you have to go down a tight side driveway to reach the garage.
We are looking at selling the property in 1-2 years. Would it be profitable for us to convert this garage to a living area and then sell the property ? or is it better to retain it as a car garage ?
