With our bubble expanding to include our little brother Australia and possibly looking to open the borders for the winter to save Queenstown and the rest of our dying tourism industry

Theoretically our combined populations will increase to 30 million, small on the world stage but 3 land masses of paradise compared to what's happening in the Northern hemisphere

We have an unknown future in the new world

Unfortunately military is the most important one as history shows war tends to follow certain economic events in the coming years decades .

Both countries are gold mines with land agriculture, food,minerals and other valuable commodities.

We need to show at the very least we are able to defend both our countries should the unthinkable
happen.

A combination of the 2 economies could potentially push our economies ahead of Russia, South Korea and Canada.

Very achievable with our resources and possibly a world economic powerhouse of the future.

It makes really good sense to work on a closer partnership, John Key spoke about it last night on Paul Henry.

Historically we haven't been significantly different, unlike the EU melting pot, so I think the potential advantages far outweight the disadvantages. Much easier to negotiate initially and then leave a 2 party partnership than a 27 country orgy if its not really working out.
