    Default separate rental income

    Dear experts,
    Is it possible to rent a property which is 2 level (one level 3 bed+bath+kitchen) and other level (studio+bath+kitchenette) separately? 2 level separated internally by door and each of them has their own entrance to driveway. what consideration I need to take care of this ?

    If you live in one then maybe

    otherwise there is risk

    are they approved for separate units?

    Shouldn't be any issue, but sometimes insurance company may charge 2 EQC levies. The risk factor remains unquantifiably the same whether you live there or not

    the risk is in being accused of creating a second dwelling. I thinkn the safest is a flatmates agreement that happens to have self contained facilities. Avoid the RTA or at your peril?
