  • Successful TT party can have their identity hidden on public order.

This will throw the pigeons amongst the cats - the new reforms include:

"A party who is successful in the Tenancy Tribunal can have their identifying details removed from the Tribunal’s decision."

All these fearful tenants cowering in their illegally constructed, uninsulated, over crowded, poorly maintained rentals will be free to run to the TT without the fear of a TT order red flag hanging on their name.

I wonder what the TT will regard as successful? Of 10 claims by the landlord or the tenant - 1 succeeds, 2 succeeds, a majority succeeds.

Will the other party be allowed to post details on say illion or Facebook? What about on private Facebook groups? Or on overseas websites? Or in quiet nods and winks between landlords or property managers. Or will it be like court suppression orders with penalties for breaching.

    Interesting times.
