Masterton

I am thiking moving to Masterton and buying a rental or 2. (Trading down from BOP. I'm retired)
can anyone advise on how Masterton is progressing . How is the rental demand ? Is rail commuting to wellington still a growing trend ?

Had a look at Wairarapa property last week. Demand for rental property appears to be strong and in my view values are not exessive. I do have reservations on how towns the size of Masterton would cope with a downturn should it happen. Do you think Masterton would cope as well as say Palmerston North if we saw a downturn ?
