Encumbering a property ?

Hi all,

if you have built built up your equity and want to ask the bank to unencumber a property can this be done directly with the bank or is a lawyer required to action?

any feedback would be appreciated.

Yes. You need a lawyer to release the property. Contact yours, it's a relatively simple process for them.

To release a property given as security or repaying a loan, speak firstly with your bank, conditions etc and then with your lawyer because the lawyer gets the instruction (papers) from the bank.
I my case mostly been a simple job.
