Tenancy experience

Hi Guys,

Just a quick experience question.

Would you rent a house to Transitional housing tenants where they get subsidy (using a property manager)? Has anyone had experience with transitional housing in South Auckland or any area, etc? I am more concerned about their house maintenance & damages, past references, etc.

If anyone can share any advice/experience, it would greatly be appreciated.

When you say ‘transitional housing’ are you referring to emergency housing?

If that’s you meant approach with extreme caution. Tenants will be as rough as guts and potentially have a detrimental effect on the neighbourhood seeing as they aren’t in a motel complex situation there is no ‘eyes and ears’

Me personally I wouldn’t. The list of what could and will likely go wrong is far too lengthy.
